When we were at the Mundi Mundi lookout the other day we naturally did a bit of wandering around in the nearby low scrub, in case we found any treasures.
Luckily for me I saw this little treasure while he was sunbathing on his rock.
He was happy for me to have a look at him for a few minutes, not even bothering to run off even when I called the kids over to have a look. Even me sneaking closer and closer with my camera didn’t alarm him and he was still there when we quietly walked away.
Great pic of a gorgeous little fella. 🙂
I’m happy you like him. We often see lizards when we are out on our walks and they are nearly always amenable to being stared at for a while, relaxed little fellows they are!
There was a blue tongue in my garden last summer. It used to scare the pants off me until I’d see his legs. He also used to trigger long, annoying barking sessions by Mogi. I think he may have up stumps and gone across to my neighbour’s block where the wildlife is a little quieter. 🙂
Probably 🙂 Lizards and dog don’t really mix!
No. 😦 Mogi is really tiny, and a bit of wimp so barking was all she did but I’m sure that lizard will be safer next door!
He’s so cute! I love lizards!
We love them too, and this is the perfect environment for stumbling across them, and is dry enough here to use the Australianism ‘flat out like a lizard drinking’ literally! 🙂
HA! I love it!
