Television and fridges. Regardless of which god you think you venerate, these are the gods we spend the most time worshipping. One of my earliest posts/rants was titled ‘fridge worship’ (go ahead and read it, you’ll love it 😉 ) I could easily have written a post about the way we love our tellies too, hmmm, perhaps later.
Oh, if only Mr Hugo Gernsback could see the televisions we have today. I wonder what he would think of the lovely flat-screens lining the walls at Harvey Norman just waiting for us to take them home and worship them?
The idea of television was not unheard of in 1925 although I am not sure how seriously it was taken in regards to its worldwide infiltration. Imagine if they had known then what a phenomenon it would become!
