  1. Another proof that one shouldn’t kill butterflies.
    It’s a pity this Rabbi had obviously not read Umberto Eco’s The Name of the Rose, or seen the movie, or he would have been more careful. Or, more probable, Eco read this clipping before he conceived of the book?

    • I see no need to kill any creature just to have something pretty on the wall. As soon as I read this article I could just see the (quietly satisfied) ghostly butterfly in my minds eye. I have always found butterfly collecting a strange pastime. Having dead bodies (large or small) just hanging around the house is just a little too creepy for me…
