Generally the rule is never get between a Territorian and a beer, although if the thing between you and the beer is a drunken army of ants ready for a fight there is not much you can do. I can only imagine the waves of devastation throughout the town when they found that much beer wasted.
A bacchanalia is a wild revelry involving excessive drinking in honour of the Greek god of wine, Bacchus and it sounds as though a wild revelry was exactly what these ants had.
Funny how large amounts of beer have the same effect on ants as it does on people. They were bloated to twice the size of normal ants, they wobbled precariously in circles and staggered backwards and they increased in number. When someone tried to take away their beer they became ‘fighting mad’ and vicious. Probably just like a normal night in the now-deprived Victoria Hotel really.
